Futurism

In 1909, Marinetti published the Futurist Manifesto on the front page of Paris's Le Figaro. The painters' manifesto followed in 1910, with Boccioni and others bringing speed, machinery, and the motion of cities onto canvas. Paint the moving thing as it moves. Where Cubism broke form apart, Futurism sped it up.
